Curriculum

In this competitive world, academic learning has gradually been forced to our young children up to a point that it has become like a competition for schools to implement academics into their early childhood education and children have started to forget about their natural way of learning, play.

The American Academy of Pediatrics claims that “without adequate time for play, children lack the opportunities to build social skills, expand their creativity, or gain problem solving skills.” According to The United Nations, play is the legitimate right of childhood. Even though these facts have become more obvious through the early childhood educators, many programs are still having difficulties to incorporate play inside their curriculums.

In Cherryland playschool, play is the core of everything that we do. We have a conversion method for learning. The provider, children, and the parents are all working together. Children will experiment open ended play during the day and teachers will observe the engagement and provide learning opportunities during the play. With an emergent curriculum, we let children decide what they want to do and then implement our lessons in their interests to provide the best developmentally approved practice.

Our playschool has a safe environment which makes it suitable for children and gets them ready for the future in schools.
